Descriptive, engaging, written
how we sometimes speak it.
Celebrating Black life, culture
and majestic banners of our
Civic, civil, historical and moral
conscience.
Black Literature is the mirror
that casts back our very own
self-reflections.
Allowing us to embrace perfect
imperfections.
We can never repay our literary
heroes:
Hughes, Hurston, Angelou,
Baldwin, Sanchez, Giovanni,
Brooks, Shangé, Clifton and
others who simply rocked our
World.
